We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Summer School «Best EU Practices: Digital Tools and Solutions for Inquiry-Based STEAM Learning», held within the project “Digital Transformation in Education: Best EU Studies” (DigTriES), Erasmus+ (Jean Monnet Module), No. 10109900. The event took place from June 2 to 5, 2025, comprising 24 hours of intensive sessions that combined online classes and distance assignments.

The first day focused on competence development, scaffolding, inquiry-based and project-based learning, and the Gold Standard PBL methodology. Participants explored the key elements of high-quality educational projects and worked with project assessment rubrics.

The second day highlighted inquiry in STEAM and international experience. Sessions addressed how to design lessons around research questions, projects as a source of student curiosity, and case studies from EU countries on implementing STEM education.

The third day was dedicated to AI tools in education. Participants engaged with platforms such as Magic School and Gemini, applied Bloom’s Taxonomy with AI for task design, discussed ethical issues, and examined the concept of prompt-based learning. The challenge of deepfakes in education was also analyzed.

The final, fourth day focused on STEM resources and creative thinking. Topics included integrating AI and robotics, using Minecraft and digital storytelling, applying data science for younger students, fostering critical and creative thinking, and introducing the basics of machine learning and deep learning.

Leading education experts — N. Morze, M. Boiko, M. Umryk, and O. Strutynska — shared their knowledge and practical insights, making each session highly valuable and engaging.

The Summer School became an important platform for knowledge exchange and professional development. Participants gained valuable skills and innovative ideas that can be applied in their teaching practice. We sincerely thank all participants and speakers for their commitment and collaboration, and we believe that the acquired knowledge will contribute to improving the quality of education in Ukraine.
