On March 14, 2024, within the framework of the project “Digital Transformation in Education: Best EU Studies” (DigTriES), Erasmus+ (Jean Monnet Module), No. 101099006, an information day was held to familiarize students with the objectives and tasks of the project and practices of game-based learning in the context of digital transformation in education.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Associate Professor Maria Boyko demonstrated examples of European practices of using game-based learning, the use of interactive technologies in the educational process of primary school students, and ways of actively engaging students in learning. The results of studies of various European Union countries in the direction of digital transformation in education turned out to be interesting. In addition, the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ program for students and teaching staff were highlighted.<\/p>\n

Those present had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the experience of implementing innovative approaches to learning and the use of information and communication technologies in education, in particular, the use of electronic game environments for the active involvement of students, and participated in practical classes in the Minecraft environment. With the help of specially designed interactive games and simulations, they could see in practice the effectiveness of this approach to learning and its potential to ensure the quality of education.<\/p>\n

Students worked individually and in groups, jointly solved tasks and solved problems presented to them in the form of game scenarios. This allowed them not only to deepen their knowledge of certain subjects, but also to develop their own skills of cooperation, communication and critical thinking.<\/p>\n

Practical experience in the application of game learning became an important stage in the preparation of future teachers to use innovative methods in their professional activities. It also allowed students to better understand how important it is to take into account the individual characteristics of students and create a stimulating learning environment that promotes their personal professional development.<\/p>\n

The information day became an important step in popularizing Europe’s achievements in the field of digital transformation in education. Participation in the event of the project “Digital transformation in education: the best studies of the EU” opened new opportunities for students of the Faculty of Pedagogy in promoting the implementation of innovative approaches in the educational process and training qualified teachers of the future.<\/p>\n
